Introduction
Cadjan Sacred is a simple and welcoming holiday home with a prized location within walking distance from the ruins of Anuradhapura. The ancient Jethavanaramaya temple with its gigantic dome-shaped stupa, is just by the gates of Cadjan Sacred. The property has been caringly refurbished by its Sri Lankan owners maintaining its original architectural features and adding a few modern touches that provide for a comfortable stay. The gentle chanting from nearby temples; the sight of pilgrims quietly passing by in their pristine white clothing in veneration of Lord Buddha; and the amazing history that surrounds dating back to the 4C B.C. where the kings of Sri Lanka created one of the greatest monastic cities of the ancient world is an awe-inspiring experience. Cadjan Sacred can be booked by the room or as a whole property and can accommodate up to six guests. Cadjan Sacred is one of three properties owned by Cadjan Resorts. The other two properties – Cadjan Earth in Aanamaduwa on the North West and Cadjan Wild in the south bordering Yala National Park, are characterful eco-retreats that are immersed in nature.
