Getting to India
It is an easy and well-served route. From London, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Air India all fly direct from Heathrow to Delhi, with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic also flying direct to Mumbai, and British Airways serving Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad too. IndiGo, India's largest airline, now flies direct from Heathrow as well. The flight to Delhi takes around nine hours. If you would rather break the journey, or are flying from a regional UK airport, there are good one-stop options through the Gulf with Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad, or through Europe with carriers such as Lufthansa. We will advise on the best routing and arrange your flights as part of your trip.
From Sydney, Air India flies direct to Delhi and Qantas flies direct to Bengaluru in the south, both taking around 13 hours. If a direct flight does not suit your plans, there are plenty of comfortable one-stop routings through Asia with the likes of Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Thai Airways and Cathay Pacific, or through the Gulf with Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad. We will help you choose the routing that works best and arrange it for you.
From New York, Air India, United and American all fly direct to Delhi, and Air India also flies nonstop to Mumbai, with a flying time of around 15 hours. There is also a wide choice of one-stop services through Europe with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Lufthansa, or through the Gulf with Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad. Whichever coast you are travelling from, we will find the best routing and take care of the flights.
Most international flights arrive into Delhi or Mumbai, with Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad also well connected. We will route you into whichever city best suits the start of your itinerary, and arrange any onward domestic flights from there.
