Tadoba National Park

Central India & Tigers, India

The Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Maharastra.

Prized for its healthy population of tigers it is also far-removed from the regular tourist trails so offers a quieter, more immersive safari experience. It’s a haven for wildlife beyond the tiger, with its dense take forests, open meadowlands, deep valley and multitude of lakes providing habitats for sloth bears, wild dogs, leopards, hyenas, civets, pythons and crocodiles. Birdlife is abundant, the forested banks of the River Andhari provide nesting sites for a vast range of wetland, woodland and raptor bird species, including three critically endangered eagles: the grey-headed fish eagle, crested serpent eagle and the changeable hawk-eagle.
