The hotel’s history is entwined with the land, and thanks to the owner’s decades of observation work, the surroundings are rife with wildlife. On safari, you’ll be treated to sightings of peacocks, cranes, turtles, even dolphins and crocodiles.
Alternatively, cycle along the highway, hike through the village of Rapri, or take a camel ride to Fort Ater. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, Chambal Safari Lodge has plenty for you to enjoy.
What we love
- A wildlife lover’s paradise–a plethora of unique species inhabit Chambal Valley, from turtles to marsh crocodiles, river dolphins to otters
- The property is entirely carbon neutral, running on 100% solar power
- Close to a number of historically important sites, for those that want to mix culture with nature
- Plenty of activities available while not on safari, from heritage hikes to cycle tours
While there is no pool on site, yoga classes and badminton courts can still keep you active
Being surrounded by wildlife, you may hear plenty of noises during the night. But we much prefer these to the roaring sounds of the city
There’s little choice for high quality restaurants nearby, but the hotel offers huge buffets with plenty of variety
