Tomijong
Tomijong is a small Gurung village in the Annapurna lowlands at around 1,430 metres, sitting among rice terraces near a traditional bee-keeping village a short way from Majgaon.
It sits slightly off the main trekking circuit, which is what makes it worth choosing; reached by a drive from Pokhara to Lumle and a 90-minute hike through forest and farmland. There is little going on here beyond daily farming life, but the team can arrange a meal with a Gurung family in the village for those wanting a deeper sense of the place. We use it as a quieter alternative to Majgaon on the Gurung Trail, particularly for clients who would rather avoid the busier trail.
