Bardia National Park
Bardia is Nepal's largest lowland national park and considerably less visited than Chitwan, which is a significant part of its appeal.
The wildlife is impressive, with tigers, elephants, rhinos and dolphins in the Karnali River, and the experience of being in the park feels genuinely remote. It takes more effort to get here, but that effort keeps the numbers down and makes for a more authentic wilderness experience. We work with a small number of trusted camps in the area and can combine Bardia with other western Nepal destinations for those wanting to go well off the beaten track.
