Adigar’s Manor is an exquisitely restored, over 220-year-old manor house near Kandy, now transformed into an intimate boutique retreat with just nine individually designed bedrooms.

Dating back to 1804, Adigar’s Manor is a beautifully restored manor house set just outside Kandy, surrounded by lush greenery and paddy field views. With only nine individually designed bedrooms, it offers the intimacy of a boutique retreat while preserving the charm and character of its colonial-era heritage.

The peaceful setting is ideal for unwinding, with an infinity pool overlooking the paddy fields, spa treatments, yoga experiences and a spice garden showcasing Sri Lankan herbs and spices. Dining is also central to the experience, with refined Sri Lankan-inspired cuisine served in the restaurant, by the poolside or on a private terrace.

What we love

A beautifully restored heritage manor house with just nine individually designed rooms.
The peaceful setting outside Kandy, with lush greenery and paddy field views.
The infinity pool, spa and yoga experiences create a calm, restorative atmosphere.
The on-property spice garden adds a lovely sense of place and connection to Sri Lankan cuisine.
Dining can be arranged in atmospheric settings, including by the poolside or on a private terrace.

Whilst Adigar's Manor is beautiful, it's arguably a bit rustic and some rooms are a little dark. However, this is because it's a historic building so it suits those looking for some character and charm

We wouldn't recommend small children stay here as it has a mature, serene feel with lots of steps

Children are welcome, although they must be over 12 years.

Adigar's House is located just 20 minutes outside of Kandy.
