Birethanti
Birethanti is a small village at the confluence of two rivers where several Annapurna trekking routes begin.
Most people pass through quickly, but it is a pleasant spot to arrive into after the drive from Pokhara. The suspension bridges, riverside teahouses and surrounding forest give a good first impression of what the hills ahead have to offer. We tend to use it as a starting point rather than a place to stay, but it sets the right mood for whatever route follows.
