Dhampus
Dhampus is a Gurung village above Pokhara at around 1,650 metres, reachable on a short uphill walk and offering some of the most accessible Annapurna views in the region.
It is a good option for those who want a sense of the hills and the culture without committing to a multi-day trek. The village is small and the guesthouses are simple. We find it works particularly well as an introductory night in the hills before heading to Ghandruk or elsewhere, or as a standalone excursion from Pokhara for those with limited time.
