Landruk
Landruk is a small Gurung village at around 1,640 metres, sitting on the opposite side of the Modi Khola valley from Ghandruk and reached by a steep walk down to the river, across a suspension bridge and back up.
The cliffs above the village are still worked by local honey hunters who climb bamboo ladders to wild bee colonies on sheer rock faces. It is quieter than Ghandruk, with very fine views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre, and works well as an overnight stop on the Gurung Trail.
