Monsoon rains swell the Ganges, making August ideal for river cruises through vibrant towns and green, water-rich landscapes. In Ladakh, skies stay mostly clear, making it a great time for trekking and visiting remote monasteries. Don’t be put off going to Rajasthan in August, yes it’s warm, but if planned well it can be fantastic value. Just stick to morning and late afternoon adventures.
