Today you’ll discover Kandy's unique character and history shaped by its protective landscape of hills, mountains and rivers during our unique 3-hour private tuk tuk experience.

We normally start at 9am or 3pm, meeting your local host at the lake for a walk whilst hearing colonial history stories before visiting the British Garrison Cemetery and passing through the Temple of the Tooth grounds. Board your tuk tuk to experience the island's religious diversity—temple grounds, elegant church, vibrant kovil and local mosque—then travel up into the hills for stunning city views and historic tales beneath a giant Buddha statue.

Visit Kandy's main market with native fruits, vegetables and local fabrics, travel through busy streets with vendors and historical monuments, and conclude at Senani Restaurant with panoramic views while enjoying delicious treats and Ceylon tea. Your guide has lived in Kandy their whole life with excellent knowledge of local culture and Sri Lankan history, bringing an easy-going, personalised approach.

I can’t thank Cherylle and the Red Dot team enough for their meticulous planning of our family holiday to India travelling through Rajasthan over Christmas.
